On November 10, 1978, Tobias Wesley Pentz Jr., better known by his stage name Diplo, was born in Los Angeles, California, and is an American D.J. and record producer. Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz) has steadily earned recognition throughout his career, establishing himself as one of the most dynamic and gifted musical geniuses in the United States music industry history. The Grammy-nominated American record producer, rapper, musician, vocalist, and songwriter is also known as the founder of the Dancehall music group's project "Major Lazer," which he co-founded with his brother, D.J.
